Welcome to the 1st Virtual Fighter Wing.

Home of the 25th DCS A-10, 29th and 94th Allied Force and Open Falcon squadrons.

We're an internet based Falcon 4.0 and A-10 squadron comprised of individuals from all over the globe that are committed to providing a fun and stable multiplayer environment for flying Falcon 4.0 and DCS A-10.  The 1st Virtual Fighter Wing was founded in 2008 and has seen explosive growth since then.  With over 5,000 multiplayer hours logged in our first year, we've quickly grown into one of the largest and most active virtual wings in the community, and we're still growing...

The 1st VFW distinguishes itself from other virtual fighter wings by being a completely democratic organization.  All wing decisions are decided by our members, including the flight simulators we fly.  Currently we support Open Falcon, Falcon 4.0: Allied Force and DCS A-10.  All of our members have access to a wing dedicated server for both OF and AF.  The server enables us to host large online flights and F4 community wide training exercises and competitions.  Furthermore, we are dedicated to improving the simulators we fly, by creating mods and new features that we share with our members.  So if you want to have realistic training, or participate in large flights, or beta test mods we are currently developing, please visit our Recruiting page and find out how to get involved.

NOTAMs

1st VFW & DCS A-10C

Be advised that the 1st VFW is now fully supporting DCS A-10C. We are currently developing training and SOPs and welcome new and old Hog drivers to our ranks. Come join us and help develop one of the best A-10C squads on the net!

BMS is born.

Some members within the 1stVFW were very lucky to be amongst the first pilots to trial the new BMS release. With everyone thinking that Christmas had come early, it has not taken long for die hards to relish in the amazing beauty that this sim presents.

On behalf of the 1st VFW, may we extend our thanks and appreciation to those who have dedicated much of their time to give this 'breath of fresh air' to the Falcon community.

Dual Memberships Allowed!

The 1st VFW is pleased to announce that we no longer have a dual membership rule. This means our members are welcome to join any other virtual squadron they like and still be a member of our wing, and members of other VFWs are welcome to join our wing.
