I don't think its necessarily the tanks. I think it might be just stores in general. If theres a load on them the jet wants to turn one direction. But I'm not real sure. If you load up empty does it still turn? The times I've gone empty I was doing airshow maneuvers so I wasn't really flying straight and level haha.

I've had 2 120s and 2 aim 9s each time. Haven't tried it with bombs

Sent from my SM-G955U using 1st Virtual Fighter Wing mobile app

I read they changed the FM in the update today and some reported they don't see the slow roll anymore. I haven't tried it yet.

  4. #224
I don’t care about TWS. TTS is enough for me. I’d rather have other stuff

What’s the Modern Air Combat thing you guys are mentioning?

  5. #225
Modern Air Combat or MAC is basicly ED's wannabe shot at a AAA title. Basicly FC4 with a flavor of Ace Combat.

How I understood the PR Statement:
    - Gain new customers with easy to learn flight "sim". Should be one game without Modules (maybe DLC later)
    - Have an active online community
    - Hope they ever switch over to DCS World to buy all modules

First MAC should have been merged with DCS World, but apparently that changed within the last year. Now MAC will contain small sections of the DCS World maps.
I did hope they would remove all FC3 Airframes out of DCS, but apparently thats not possible.

    Best case scenario
    - ED gains a lot of customers, works on Core systems of DCS and have a lot of migration going from MAC to DCS World.

    Most probable scenario
    - Two completly different user groups. No change for DCS

    Worst case scenario
    - Nobody buys that stuff, ED has to downsize or close. No more DCS, since we only have online activation

    No EXTERNAL LIGHTS.....
I guess they’re waiting for the external model to be finished.
    I’ll take it tho!

Hmm, Newsletter time. Next to those awesome shots for the reworked A-10C some small highlights:

Other Development Updates which might be of interest:
F/A-18C Hornet: the team is focused on the completion of the AGM-62 Walleye, updating the Harpoon, implementing dynamic launch zones / release points for JDAMs and JSOWs and Pre-Briefed mode for the AGM-88 HARM. The Team are working on completing and improving the current weapons prior to moving on to new systems such as the SLAM and SLAM-ER. TWS and enhanced radar modes will follow.
Supercarrier: the model is 95% complete with deck crew animations progressing well. This week we made good progress on the holdback bar animations and general scripting of launch operations. We’ve also made good progress on the LSO platform which offers an exceptional level of detail and functionality. For the early access launch, we plan 14 aircraft spawn locations.
Integrated Voice Chat: We are now in the final stretch of rolling out the test version. We’ve added a minimize command, volume options, mic options, and bug fixes. Following the initial release, we will implement the creation of rooms.
New Effects: We are currently working on missile flame and smoke enhancements as well as new tracer art. This should deliver a new level of realism to exhaust flames based on motor and fuel type.
Dynamic Campaign: We now have a basic test version that works within DCS World to evaluate the real-time strategy element of the system. We are using this to debug the system. In parallel, work is now underway on the UI interface and the AI machine learning code. This is complex and is receiving a lot of focus at the moment.
Our new ‘secret’ terrain is coming along very well. We hope to be releasing screens shots soon...
Will be inetersting what this intergrated voice chat will bring to the table at a later version. The first version looks like a simple voice chat room with no interactions with the aircraft radios. What a bummer. Wasted dev time... They rather just purchased the licence from SRS and roll out a fully functional system...

I’m having a lot of trouble deciding on the F16 right now. Can anyone sway me it’s worth pulling the trigger on it right now?

If you don't have it at this point then i'd say no, wait until it's a little more fleshed out.

    That’s my instinct as well

Sadly no Open Beta Update today. They pushed all the fixes into the "stable" version.
Nothing really changed much this week for the Hornet or Viper. But at least the M-2000C did receive a lot of goodies.

Anyway, next Beta Update on the 20th November:
Our next Open Beta is set for 20 November 2019 and is planned to include:

    F-16C Viper features
    • Track While Scan (TWS) radar mode
    • AUTO steerpoint sequence mode
    • Corrected flight director (sherm) behavior
    • Functional CMDS (countermeasures) DED page
    • New stores drag implementation
    • Initial data link (Link 16 / MIDS)
    • External lights
    • Centerline fuel tank
    • Corrected lock maintenance when switching master mode
    • Corrected radar lock-only RWR indication
    • Corrected INS steerpoint change
    • Corrected HMCS enable/disable HOTAS command

    F/A-18C Hornet features
    • Aft Pod Antenna Option

After this update, the focus will switch back to the Hornet for a bit:
Following the 20 November 2019 Open Beta, we will heavily focus on the Hornet to include such items as:
    • Track While Scan (TWS)
    • AACQ radar modes
    • updates to the targeting pod
    • updates to existing weapons systems and countermeasures
And some screenshots from the carrier:

Good stuff, especially TWS but quite honestly at this point i'd rather get CZ instead.
